New Delhi, Sept 14 (IBNS): A video has gone viral on social media where a man could be seen mercilessly beating a woman inside a Delhi office.

The video even earned the attention of Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh.

The Minister directed the Delhi Police chief to take action against the man involved in the incident.

Rohit Singh Tomar, the son of a Delhi police officer, has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Singh tweeted: " The video of a girl being brutally beaten up by a young man has drawn my attention and I have spoken to the Delhi Police Commissioner (Amulya Patnaik) on the phone over the issue. I asked him to take necessary actions."

The victim has reportedly filed a rape complaint with the police.

The woman seen targeted in a viral video was traced and convinced to file a case against him at the Uttam Nagar police station, reported Hindustan Times.
