Delhi Dy CM Sisodia raids government school, finds men occupying it
Sisodia along with local Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) councilor, Kuldeep Kumar, and Delhi police conducted the raid on Thursday late-night at Kalyanpuri 19 block Nagar Nigar school.
On visiting, the deputy CM found men living in the classroom along with their belongings.
The AAP councilor was the first to received the information about the illegal occupation.
An official told The Indian Express: "A number of items ranging from utensils to a small axe, meant for chopping wood, were also recovered from what was once a classroom. This entire room had been converted into living quarters."
An AAP leader was quoted in the same daily as saying: "The school had a number of complaints. In fact, we received information that this group of people had illegally forced out the students and slowly converted the classroom into living quarters from themselves."
The government is yet to investigate whether the classroom was rented or not.
