Illegal Arms Act Case: Salman Khan appears before Jodhpur court, signs bail bonds

Jodhpur, Aug 4 (IBNS): Bollywood superstar Salman Khan on Friday appeared before the District and Sessions Court in Jodhpur for verification of bail bonds in connection with the Illegal Arms Act Case.

The case dates back to 1998.

Salman left the court after signing the bail bond, reports said.

The next haring in the case is scheduled to take place on Oct 5.

“At the last hearing, the court wanted Salman to appear before the court and sign the bail bond today, which he has done. Now for the next hearing which is on 5th October, Salman Khan is not required to be present for that hearing,” Salman Khan’s lawyer Hastimal Saraswat told The Indian Express.

According to reports, Salman Khan signed a bail bond of Rs 20,000.

Salman Khan and a few other Bollywood actors  were accused of poaching blackbucks, and endangered species, on the midnight of Oct 1-2, 1998 during the shooting of a movie "Hum Saath Saath Hain".

Two blackbucks, were killed on the outskirts of Kankani village near Jodhpur.

Khan is accused of carrying and using illegal arms.
