Sriharikota, June 23 (IBNS): In another successful attempt, ISRO launched PSLV-C38 with Cartosat-2 Series and 30 other satellites into orbit to observe earth on Friday, media reports said.

The launch came two weeks after the space agency successfully sent GSAT-19 satellite with GSLV Mark III-D1 rocket.

Prime Minister  Narendra Modi  congratulated ISRO on its 40th successful Polar satellite launch carrying 31 satellites from 15 countries.

“Congratulations to ISRO on its 40th successful Polar satellite launch carrying 31 satellites from 15 countries. You make us proud", the Prime Minister said.

Cartosat-2 is a rocket sensing satellite, identical to the previous ones but it has higher resolution to observe the earth.
