Jammu and Kashmir: JEM terrorist killed during gunfight with security forces

Pulwama, Nov 25 (IBNS): A Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM)  terrorist was killed during an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district on Sunday, officials said.

Police said arms and ammunition were recovered from the spot.

Police further said the terrorist was killed in Khrew area of Pulwama district.

Kashmir Police Zone tweeted: "In a brief exchange of fire at Bathien #Khrew, one #terrorist affiliated with proscribed terror outfit #JeM was killed. #Arms & ammunition recovered. Area being searched. @JmuKmrPolice @KVijayKumarIPS @AwantipoPolice."

In a separate incident of exchange of fire with security forces, six terrorists were killed in Batagund area of Shopian district.

"#Shopian encounter update: 06 #Terrorists of HM & LeT group killed. Arms & Ammunition recovered. @JmuKmrPolice @Sandeep_IPS_JKP," read the tweet posted by Kashmir Police Zone.
