Jammu and Kashmir: Three terrorists killed in encounter

Srinagar, Aug 9 (IBNS): At least three terrorists were killed in an encounter in Gulab Bagh village of Tral in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district on Wednesday, police said.

According to reports, army's 42 RR and SOG of Jammu and Kashmir police took charge after receiving information about the presence of some militants in Gulabagh village of Tral.

"Soon after forces zeroed in the houses, suspected militants opened fire on forces which led to fierce gunfight," official said.

An official said that three militants have been killed so far.

"The operation is on in the area," he said.

Authorities suspended mobile Internet services in Pulwama district to prevent the “spreading of rumours”.

All three militantskilled belonged to Zakir Musa-led Ansar Ghazwat Ul-Hind.
