Jayalalithaa's new statue unveiled at party headquarters in Chennai

Chennai, Nov 14 (IBNS): A new statue of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa was unveiled at the ruling AIADMK headquarters in Chennai on Wednesday, media reports said.

The statue has replaced the old one which was installed earlier this year.

The AIADMK, in order to celebrate its former party chief Jayalalithaa's 70th birthday in February, had unveiled a life size statue which barely looked like the ex-Chief Minister, facing a major embarrassment.

Jayalalithaa's statue has been installed right beside other former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MG Ramachandran's one.

Jayalalithaa had passed away in 2016.
