| @indiablooms | Oct 02, 2017, at 04:17 pm
Srinagar, Oct 2 (IBNS): A 10-year-old boy was killed and another two people suffered injuries following a ceasefire violation in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district, reports said.

The incident took place on Monday morning along the Line of Control.

According to The Indian Express, the deceased have been identified as Israr Ahmed, a resident of Kerni village.

The injured, also from the same village, have been identified as Reshma Bi, 55, and her son Mohammad Rafiq, 31.

The daily quoted sources as saying that the Pakistani army also resorted to targeting Indian citizens apart from firing at their Indian counterparts.

Experts view the move as a attempt from the Pakistani soldiers to infiltrate India with terrorists before winter sets in and the passes are closed due to heavy snowfall.
