Kashmir: Policeman killed in Shopian grenade attack by terrorists

Srinagar,  Sept 30 (IBNS): A policeman was killed after terrorists attacked a police station in South Kashmir's Shopian and hurled a grenade there on Sunday, media reports said.

The policeman was taken to hospital in injured state, where he died during treatment.

According to reports, the terrorists fired indiscriminately at the police station.

Alert police force also retaliated to the attack.

However, the terrorists fled the spot and are reportedly hiding in the nearby forest.

The area has been cordoned off.

Security forces have launched a search operation.
