KCR slams Amit Shah for opposing quota to Muslims

Hyderabad, Nov 27 (IBNS):  Telangana Rashtra Samithi supremo and caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has attacked BJP president Amit Shah for opposing his government's proposal to increase reservation for Muslims in the state, reports said.

Speaking at an election rally at Dichpally, he said he will try to get the quotas for Scheduled Tribes and Muslims and increased.

Shah had recently attacked the TRS government's proposal  of giving 12 per cent quota to Muslims.

Shah said his party would not allow the religion-based reservation and called it unconstitutional.

"Yesterday, their president also came... He spoke wide and straight and left. They say they will not give. He spoke that we will not let Muslims get reservation... Amit Shah... You will not be in power. It is not you giving (something) and we taking it," Rao was quoted as saying by News18.

He batted for the 'federal front' government.

"Nobody gives us if we beg someone. Either our reservation, rights of Muslims or rights of STs, ...if they (quota and others) are to come, federal government should come in the country," he said.

The state polls will be held on Dec 7 and the results will be declared on 11th of the same month.
