Khalistani leader Bhullar released on 21-day parole

New Delhi, Apr 23 (IBNS) The convict in the 1993 Delhi bomb blast case Devinderpal Singh Bhullar was released on parole on Saturday.

The ex- Khalistan Liberation Force militant was released on 21-day parole after he spend 23 years in prison.

Bhullar's wife Navneet Kaur and few other relatives .received him.

In 2001, he was sentenced to death by a designated TADA court.

The Supreme Court later commuted Bhullar's death penalty to life term in connection with the 1993 Delhi bomb blast case.

In June last year, he was shifted from  Tihar Jail in Delhi to  Amritsar Central Jail .

Talking to Hindustan Times, Amritsar deputy commissioner Varun Roojam said, “We have approved Bhullar’s 21-day parole.”
