Let's meet when there is a war, let's change the rotten system : Rajnikanth

Chennai, May 19 (IBNS) : Dropping a clearer hint of joining politics, super star Rajnikanth on Friday asked the people to "get ready for a war" as the "system is rotten and needs revamp."

Addressing his fans, the 66-year-old actor also urged them to  “take me to a level from where I can do anything”, media reports said.

"I will call you when there's a war. You come then. In the old days all men would go when there was a war," Rajnikanth said.

I have my profession, my job. I have some responsibilities and you have your jobs. Go back to your places and do your job. Let’s meet when it’s time for war.”

He observed that  Tamil Nadu has good leaders - MK Stalin of the DMK and Anbumani Ramadoss being among them. "But the system is rotten. We should change the system."

In  the true spirit of a political leader trying to play the regional sentiment, the iconic film star reminded the people about his long association with Tamil Nadu, the state where he settled to earn name and fame leaving Karnataka, his birth place.

"I was in Karnataka only for 23 years and have been in Tamil Nadu for more than 40 years. I am a pure Tamil, you have made me a Tamil," Rajnikanth,  who was born Shivaji Rao Gaekwad in Tamil Nadu's neighbouring Karnataka, said.
