M Hamid Ansari greets nation on Mahavir Jayanti

New Delhi, Apr 8 (IBNS): Vice President of India M. Hamid Ansari on Saturday greeted the people of our country on the auspicious occasion of Mahavir Jayanti.

In a message, he said that through his teachings of non-violence and compassion Bhagwan Mahavir showed an enlightened path for harmony and progress of humanity.

Following is the text of Vice President’s message:

“I extend my warm greetings and good wishes to the people of our country on the auspicious occasion of ‘Mahavir Jayanti’.
