Meghalaya : Sixty five year-old man arrested for raping two grand daughters multiple times

Guwahati, Sep 3 (IBNS): In a shocking incident, a 65-year-old man allegedly raped his two minor grand-daughters in Meghalaya’s South Garo Hills district.

According to the reports, Midua Momin, the accused, had allegedly raped his minor grand daughters multiple times.

Police had arrested Momin after a complaint was registered by the father of the two minor victims.

The victims are aged 9 and 10.

The father of the victims lodged an FIR at Dimapara police station on Aug 28.

South Garo Hills district Superintendent of Police (SP) Abraham T Sangma said police had already arrested the accused person and he admitted the crime.

“A medical was done on the two victim girls, which has confirmed rape,” the Meghalaya cop said.

The top Meghalaya police official also said that the accused person was sent to judicial custody after produced him before the court.
