Militants attack army party in Kashmir, 2 soldiers injured, civilian killed

Srinagar, May 4 (IBNS): A civilian was killed and two soldiers injured after suspected militants attacked an army party in Shopian district of South Kashmir.

According to reports , army party were on way to their camp when they were attacked with heavy firing from militants in Imam Sahib area of the district.

The attack resulted in injuring two army jawans and a civilian who was the driver of the cab.

“All three victims were shifted to the nearby hospital for treatment however civilian Nazir Ahmad Sheikh succumbed to his injuries,” police official said.

This attack comes on a day when security forces launched massive search operation in twenty villages of Shopian in South Kashmir.
