New Delhi, Sep 13 (UNI) Minister of State (I/C) for Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep S Puri on Friday said that the new building of Parliament is likely to be ready by the year 2024.

Addressing a programme here, the Minister said the Land Pooling Policy will change the shape of Delhi and by the year 2024, Delhi will be the largest urban area in the world.

''A new Parliament building is also expected to be built by this period,'' he said.

The Minister said Prime Minister Narendra Modi believes that important buildings in Delhi built between 1911 and 1927 should be rebuilt.

These include North Block, South Block, Rashtrapati Bhavan and Parliament House etc.

He said, "We are going to rebuild all of them. At the time of the next general elections, by 2024, we expect that we will have a new Parliament building.''
