NIA raids Hurriyat (G) leader Agha Hassan's house in terror funding probe

Srinagar, Sep 7 (IBNS): The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has raided Hurriyat (G) leader Agha Hassan's house in Budgam district of central Kashmir while probing a terror funding case, media reports said.

The raid by the NIA occurred a day after Joint Resistance Leadership's announcement of marching to the NIA headquarter in Delhi.

The NIA had earlier arrested seven separatists on terror financing charges.

Among the seven are Syed Ali Shah Geelani's son-in-law Altaf Shah, and three key aides, Ayaz Akbar, Me'raj Kalwal and Bashir Ahmad Bhat.

In mid-August, the NIA conducted raids in 12 places over the terror funding case in districts like Srinagar, Baramulla and Handwara.

Among the 12 places, two were the premises of an advocate Mohammed Shafi Reshi and three relatives of businessman Zahoor Watali.
