Srinagar, Jan 17 (IBNS) The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Sunday met to decide over the issue of forming government in Jammu and Kashmir.

PDP leader Naeem Akhtar told media that the party has given its president Mehbooba Mufti the authority to take decision on the issue of forming the government and over continuing the alliance with the BJP.

Mehbooba Mufti presided over the meeting, reports said.

Former J&K CM Omar Abdullah reacted on the development and tweeted: "Enough is enough. If you can't rise to the occasion end the coalition & lets go back to the people again."

Jammu and Kashmir has been under a brief spell of Governor's Rule for the past few days since late Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed passed away and her daughter  Mehbooba Mufti  chose not to be sworn in immediately after her father's death.

The state's constitution provides that the post of chief minister cannot be vacant.
