"Anguished by the demise of MP & former Union Minister, Shri Sanwar Lal Jat. This is a big loss for the BJP & the nation. My condolences," the Prime Minister's tweet read.

In an ensuing tweet, the Prime Minister spoke about the minister's work ethics and extended his condolences to the bereaved family.
