PM Modi mourns Dr C Narayana Reddy's death

Hyderabad, June 12 (IBNS): Jnanpith awardee Dr C Narayana Reddy passed away on Monday.

He was 86.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi mourned the death of the the 85-year-old poet-author-writer-lyricist and former Rajya Sabha member.

PMO India quoting Narendra Modi tweeted: "Demise of Shri C. Narayana Reddy is a major loss to the literary world. His works struck a chord with people across generations."

He said: "My thoughts are with the family and well wishers of Shri C. Narayana Reddy in these sad moments."
