Bengaluru, Jul 7 (IBNS): Bengaluru police have arrested five Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) workers over a scuffle which took place on Thursday morning at Sir M. Visveswaraya Central College metro station, reports said.

The five BMRCL workers assaulted Karnataka State Industrial Security Force (KSISF) workers, including a woman.

The incident took place after the KSISF workers turned up late for work.

A BMRCL worker, Rakesh, allegedly slapped a security personnel after spotting him coming to the workplace late.

As the word spread, agitating workers engaged in a fight only to be stopped by the police, who rushed to the place.

"The prime accused is Rakesh, an electronic maintenance staff of BMRCL, along with four of his other colleagues," a police officer was quoted as saying by The Hindu.
