Policeman killed in Kashmir's Srinagar

Srinagar, June 15 (IBNS): Suspected militants killed a policeman and injured another in Hyderpora area of Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday night.

According to police official, militants opened fire on a police patrol party near Hyderpora, resulting into injuries to two policemen.

The injured were shifted to 92 Base hospital in Srinagar for treatment where one of them succumbed.

The deceased was Shahzad Dilawar of IRP 20 BN.

Earlier in the day, a policeman was shot dead by militants in Kulgam district of south Kashmir.
