Pranab Mukherjee extends greetings to Gambia on National Day eve
In a message to Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr. Yahya A.J.J. Jammeh, the President of the Republic of The Gambia, Mukherjee said, “On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, it gives me great pleasure to convey to you, to the Government and the people of the Republic of The Gambia warm greetings and felicitations on the occasion of your National Day."
"It is a matter of satisfaction that friendly bilateral cooperation between our two countries has expanded steadily, particularly in the areas of trade and development. I am confident that the warm bilateral relations between India and The Gambia will further strengthen in the coming years to the mutual benefit of our peoples," he said.
"Please accept, Excellency, my good wishes for your personal health and well-being, as well as for the progress and prosperity of the friendly people of the Republic of The Gambia,” Mukherjee said.
