Rahul Gandhi to begin two-day Rajasthan trip today
Jaipur, Oct 24 (IBNS): Congress president Rahul Gandhi will begin his two-day trip to poll-bound Rajasthan on Wednesday.
He will address a public meeting in Jhalawar at 12 pm and later interact with people on his way to Kota.
On Thursday, the Congress chief is scheduled to address Sankalp Maha Rally in Sikar.
The assembly polls in Rajasthan will be held on Dec 7. The counting of votes will take place on 11th of the same month.
The Congress, led by its state chief Sachin Pilot, is trying to defeat the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Rajasthan, ahead of the next Lok Sabha elections, which will be held in few months' time.
A recent poll survey has predicted the Congress will go past BJP to wrest power in the state in the upcoming Assembly election.
