The Gandhi scion had earlier tweeted, "We will continue to stand up against injustice wherever it happens and expose BJP's hypocrisy &lack of will to protect the poor &vulnerable."

The tweet was in response to the Delta Meghwal case, where the Rajasthan government called for a CBI enquiry, a phenomenon termed by Gandhi as wilting 'under pressure'.

Earlier, Delta Meghwal, a backward caste student was found dead under mysterious circumstances.

The 17-year-old's body was recovered from a water tank inside her varsity campus.

It was reported that she had called her father on the eve of her death and alleged rape.
