Relief for Lalu's family; Rabri-Tejashwi granted bail in land for contract scam

New Delhi, Aug 31 (IBNS): Former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav were granted bail in connection with the land for contract scam by the Patiala House court on Friday.

The order came as a relief for Tejashwi, who is leading the RJD in absence of party chief Lalu Prasad, who is serving a jail term of several years, pertaining to the fodder scam cases.

Tejashwi's corruption case was the reason behind Bihar Chief Minister and Janata Dal (United) supremo Nitish Kumar's exit from the grand alliance in 2017.
