Sabarimala Temple gets over Rs 39 cr income in first ten days of pilgrimage season

Pathanamthitta/UNI: The Ayyappa temple in Sabarimala has earned an income of Rs 39.68 crore in the first ten days of the ongoing annual pilgrimage season.

The revenue received during the same period, as against the previous season, was Rs 21.12 crore, Travancore Devaswom Board president N Vasu said here.

The aravana sales fetched Rs 15.47 crore as on Thursday as against Rs 6.72 crore achieved during the same period in the previous season.

The hundi collection amounted to Rs 13.76 crore as against Rs 8.34 crore garnered during the same period in 2018.

The temple witnessed heavy rush and there was an increase in the flow of pilgrims during the weekend, Vasu said.
