Special court sentences 4 convicts to death in 2008 Jaipur serial blast case

Jaipur/IBNS:A special court on Friday handed out death sentenec to the four convicts in the 2008 Jaipur serial-bomb-blasts which had killed 75 people and left 185 injured.

Mohammad Saif, Mohammad Sarwar Azmi, Mohammad Salman and Saifurrehman – will be hanged till death, the court said in its order.

On May 13, 2008, eight bomb blasts shook Jaipur. The court held the four men of criminal conspiracy.

According to reports, Mohammad Saif alias Carryon, the first convict, was involved in blast in Manak Chowk police station. The second convict, Mohammad Sarwar Aazmi, was held guilty for his role in Chandpole Hanuman temple, while the third Mohammad Salman, was pronounced guilty of carrying out the blasts in Sanganeri Hanuman temple. The court convicted Saifur alias Saifurehman Ansari guilty of planting bombs at five different places.
