Two policemen injured in Kashmir grenade attack

Srinagar, Oct 2 (IBNS): Two policemen were injured when suspected militants hurled a grenade at a police party in North Kashmir's Baramulla district on Monday evening.


According to reports, joint Police/Army Naka was established in the town for routine area domination when militants lobbed grenade on the party, resulting in minor injuries of two cops.

“One motorcycle approached from opposite side and while seeing the Naka Party, it made an about turn. While being challenged to stop, one among the two militants riding the motor cycle hurled a grenade towards the Naka Party,” said police spokesman.

“The aea has been cordoned. Case has been registered and investigation taken up,” said the official.
