Boxing Day Test: Indian bowlers pick up five Australian wickets

Melbourne: Indian bowlers put their team on top after picking up five Australian wickets on the first day of the second Test match here on Saturday.

After 55 overs, India reduced Australia to 143 for the loss of five wickets.

Australia have so far lost the wickets of Joe Burns (0), Matthew Wade (30), Marnus Labuschagne (48), Steven Smith  (0) and Travis Head  (38).

Skipper Tim Paine (6*) and Cameron Green  (7*) are currently at the crease.

Bumrah and Ashwin have picked up two wickets each.
