Don't forget Test losses: Gavaskar warns MS Dhoni's men

New Delhi, Sept 3 (IBNS): Indian cricketing legend Sunil Gavaskar has cautioned that India should not forget its poor show in the recently held Test series in Egnland.

"India failed miserably (in Tests against England). So I don't think we can ignore that because tomorrow, if you say India is never going to play a Test match again, then you can forget it. But since India is going to play three Test matches against West Indies, four Test matches against Australia, you must not forget what has happened here in England," Gavaskar told NDTV.

India lost the Test series against England 3-1.

In the ODI series, India defeated England in the fourth match to take an  unassailable 3-0 lead  on Tuesday.

"The team is handling itself a lot better overseas (in ODIs)," he said, adding that the current form should be good enough for the side to defend World Cup title.

With 91 ODI victories, Dhoni has now become India's most successful captain the 50-over format.
