England win Kolkata ODI by five runs

Kolkata, Jan 22 (IBNS): Following a drubbing in the first two ODI, England finally clinched the last one by five runs, thereby finishing the three match series 1-2 here on Sunday.

In reply to England target of 322 runs, a spirited Indian team fell short as their batsmen managed to put up 316 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the allotted 50 overs.

For India, Kedar Jadhav (90) starred with the bat alongside Hardik Pandya (56).

For England, Ben Stokes picked up three wickets to go along with his unbeaten score of 57 runs.

He was also adjudged the Man-of the match.

Kedar Jadhav received the Man of the series trophy.
