Ex-Pakistani all-rounder Shahid Afridi turns 44 but confusion remains about his 'age'
Islamabad: Pakistani cricket icon Shahid Afridi said on Monday he turned 44.
However, there seems to be confusion around his age as the ICC website says he was born in the year 1980.

If the ICC website is followed then the age of Afridi is 41.
"Thank you very much for all the lovely birthday wishes - 44 today! My family and my fans are my biggest assets. Really enjoying my stint with Multan and hope to produce match winning performances for all MS fans," the all-rounder tweeted.

He had made his international cricket debut against Sri Lanka in 1996 when he had set a world record of hitting 37-ball ODI century.
The record was later shattered by AB de Villiers in 2015 by scoring a century by playing 31 balls.
Shahid is one of the top Pakistani all-rounders of all time.
In his international career, he played 27 Tests, 398 ODIs and 99 T20Is.
The dynamic cricketer was a part of Pakistan's 2009 T20 World Cup-winning team.
