Perth, Jan 9 (IBNS) After winning their opening tour match, India continued their dominance in the second match , which was a 50-over clash, against Western Australia by winning the encounter by 64 runs, here on Saturday.

After opting to bat first Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his men put up a decent 249 on board but was eventually bowled out with five bowls to spare.

India had a poor start as they lost opener Shikhar Dhawan (4) early for 4 runs. Dhawan was soon joined by his Delhi team mate Virat Kohli (7), who hit a fine 50 in the first game but failed to make it count today.

Rohit Sharma had a decent outing as he hit 3 sixes and 6 fours to score 67 off 82 deliveries.

Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane also built a 88 run partnership for the third wicket.

Rahane scored 41 off 53 balls and hit 3 boundaries.

Manish Pandey (58) and Ravindra Jadeja (26) too had a decent score.

From the Western Australian side, Drew Porter picked up 5 wickets for 37 runs.

James Muirhead picked up a couple of wickets for 55 runs, while David Moody and Liam O'Connor picked up a wicket each.

Starting out their chase, WA lost their first wicket for 39 runs.

With wickets tumbling at regular intervals, the team could not really get going and eventually were bowled out in the 49th over.

Jake Carder (45) and Jaron Morgan (50) contributed significantly but the others failed to make an impression as the three Indian spinners picked up six wickets among themselves while bowling tight spells.

Ashwin, Axar Patel, Jadeja and Rishi Dhawan picked up 2 wickets each. 1 each was picked up by Gurkeerat Singh Mann and Umesh Yadav
