India's U-17 World Cup team to be discussed in meeting

New Delhi, July 18 (IBNS) The All India Football Federation-recommended Special Technical Committee for the upcoming FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2017 is all set to meet for the first time since its inception, in Bangalore on Saturday.

Indian Football icon Bhaichung Bhutia, skipper Sunil Chhetri and highly rated coach currently with Salgaocar FC Derrick Pereira are the members of the Committee specially designed by President Mr. Praful Patel for the Youth Showpiece.

Apart from the members, AIFF’s Technical Director Robert Baan, National Team Coach Wim Koevermans, and General Secretary Mr. Kushal Das will be attending the meeting meant to discuss the scouting process and development for India’s U-17 World Cup Team.

Rob Baan will give a detailed presentation on the roadmap ahead for team selection and preparation and the areas that need to be focused on, while the General Secretary will discuss the U-15 Youth League which AIFF is contemplating.
