Visakhapatnam, Nov 17 (IBNS): After an unbeaten partnership of 70 runs in the first session, which pulled India out of murky waters against England here on day one of the second Test match, Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara added 118 runs more to bruise England's chances.

The skipper and his partner hit boundaries at will, scoring in an excess of four runs per over in the middle session.

At Tea, India are on 210 runs for the loss of two wickets.

While Pujara is unbeaten on 97 runs, Kohli is batting on 91.

Earlier, India survived a scare after they lost both their openers for 22 runs.

The first blood was drawn in the second over of the day, as KL Rahul, who made his comeback after more than 40 days, was sent back to to the pavilion for a duck.

Murali Vijay, who showed glimpses of his old form in the Rajkot Test by scoring a century, was the next to depart.

Vijay's brief innings of 20 runs was laden with four boundaries.

At lunch, India had put on 92 runs for the loss of two wickets.

For England, pacemen Broad and Anderson have picked up a wicket each.
