Rohit Sharma hits 82, India take 339 runs lead
At the end of the third day's play,India scored 227 runs for the loss of eight wickets.
Sharma hammered nine boundaries and two sixes in his knock.
Wriddhiman Saha (39*) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (8*) remained unbeaten for India at stumps.
Saha and Sharma added 103 runs in the seventh wicket partnership.
Skipper Virat Kohli, earlier,scored 45 runs.
Matt Henry and Mitchell Santner picked up three wickets each for New Zealand.
New Zealand were earlier bowled out for 204 runs in reply to 316 runs posted by India.
