Moscow, June 20 (IBNS); Riding on Christiano Ronaldo's solo goal, Portugal beat Morocco in a World Cup group stage match here on Wednesday.
Portugal, riding on Ronaldo's goal, won the match 1-0.
The Group B match victory put Portugal in a much better stage to reach the next round of the tournament.
Despite multiple attempts, the African side failed to score the equaliser.
Morocco, following the defeat, is facing an early exit from the tournament.
Ronaldo scored an early 4th minute goal to put his side on the positive front in the clash.
Iran had earlier defeated the African side 1-0.
