Steve Smith tries to 'remove' Pant's batting guard, Virender Sehwag slams him with funny tweet

Sydney: A video has surfaced on social media where Australian star batsman Steve SMith could be seen  supposedly trying to remove the batting guard of Rishabh Pant during his innings.

Pant hammered a heroic 97 runs as India managed to draw the crucial third Test match between India and Australia.

Indian batsmen made all efforts needed to draw the Test.

Australia had posted 407 runs in front of the Indian team.

But Pant (97) stuck together with Cheteshwar Pujara (77)  a crucial partnership of 148 runs while Hanuma Vihari (23*) and R Ashwin (39*) added 62 runs to help India draw the match.

Meanwhile, after the video of Smith's act surfaced on the social media, ex-Indian player Vidrender Sehwag tweeted: "Tried all tricks including Steve Smith trying to remove Pant's batting guard marks from the crease. Par kuch kaam na aaya. Khaaya peeya kuch nahi, glass toda barana. But I am so so proud of the effort of the Indian team today. Seena chonda ho gaya yaar."
