Islamabad, Sept 29 (IBNS): Pakistan's cricket chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq has removed all doubts regarding Sarfraz Ahmed’s captaincy and said there is no question about his leadership abilities.

Under Ahmed's leadership, Pakistan crashed out of the recently held Asia Cup in the UAE.

However, Inzamam told Geo News: "There is no question about Sarfraz’s captaincy."

He said: "However, Sarfraz and the team did not play the cricket we were expecting.”

Inzamam said he hopes to see Pakistani side perform better in the upcoming series.

“I hope the team puts a better display of their skills in the upcoming series," he said.

India won the Asia Cup by beating Bangladesh in the final.

India defeated Pakistan both in the group as well as the Super Four stage of the tournament.
