Pune/IBNS: Young Yashasvi Jaiswal is leading India's hunt for the target of 359 set by New Zealand in the second Test in Pune on Saturday.

Coming out to bat, India played aggressive cricket scoring 81/1 in just 12 overs at lunchtime on day 3.

Jaiswal remained unbeaten at 46 from 36 balls with 3 fours and 3 sixes.

Shubman Gill, who is also looking aggressive with his 22 from 20 balls, was at the crease when the players went back to the pavilion for the break.

India skipper Rohit Sharma was the only batter to be dismissed. He scored 8 from 16 balls.

Though New Zealand were looking strong to go past the 300-mark, the Indian bowlers managed to bowl out the Kiwis for 255 in the second innings this morning.

Washington Sundar, who picked 7 wickets in the first innings, clinched another 4 in the second innings while allrounder Ravindra Jadeja picked 3 wickets.

On a spin-friendly wicket, cricket icon Ravichandran Ashwin picked 2 wickets for 97 runs in the second innings.

New Zealand skipper Tom Latham was the top scorer for the visitors in the second innings with his 86 runs.

The Kiwis bowled out India for just 156 in the first innings after putting 259 on board after winning the toss and electing to bat first on day 1 of the match.
