Baku, May 6 (Xinhua/UNI) One child was killed and seven others injured when a mini-bus carrying members of a junior wrestling team came off the road and overturned in the southern Azerbaijani district of Salyan on Monday, according to the country's emergency authorities.

The mini-bus carrying children aged between 11 and 14 was on its way from Shirvan to Jalilabad district.

"The mini-bus was driven by the team's coach who was also injured," said Safaya Ahmadova, a representative of the Ministry of Health, adding that one of the injured is in a critical condition.

Authorities have launched an investigation to define the cause of the crash.

Three people were killed and two others injured in two separate similar accidents in the country's south on Sunday.
