Explosion rocks central Jakarta, 2 hurt

Jakarta/IBNS: An explosion rocked the National Monument complex in Central Jakarta on Tuesday and left two people injured, media reports said.

The explosion reportedly took place at 7:05 a.m. within the complex located across the Home Ministry building on Jl. Medan Merdeka Utara. 

Two Indonesian Military (TNI) personnel were reportedly injured in the blast, according to National Police spokesperson Brig. Gen. Argo Yuwono as quoted by Kompas TV, reported The Jakarta Post.

The injured people were rushed to Gatot Subroto Army Hospital for treatment.   
An investigation into the incident is currently going on.
