Indonesia: Bus mishap leaves 26 dead

Jakarta/IBNS: A bus plunged down a steep ravine and landed in a river in Indonesia which least at least 26 people dead, media reports said on Tuesday.

The incident left 13 others hurt.

About 50 passengers were on board the bus in South Sumatra province when it plunged some 150m (500ft) on Monday night, BBC reported.

The bus had left Bengkulu city and was heading for Palembang when the mishap occurred.

Rescue operation is currently going on.

The cause of the mishap is still not known.
