Baghdad, June 17 (IBNS): Iraq security forces were engaged in clashes with militants close to the Baghdad city, media reports said on Tuesday.

According to reports,  militants, who are aligned with the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, had briefly taken over  Baquba  city on Monday.

Baquba is just 60kms from Baghdad.
