This will be her first trip to India since coming to power in Bangladesh for the third consecutive term after winning the polls last year.

Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen announced the planned visit while talking to reporters in his office on Sunday, reported bdnews24.

The agenda will be discussed during the upcoming visit by Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar on Aug 20-21, reported the news portal.

This will be also Hasina's first visit to the neighbouring nation since Indian PM Narendra Modi came back to power in New Delhi for second straight term.
