Bihar man rapes 12-year-old girl in express train toilet, films the act

Hyderabad/IBNS: A twelve-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a co-passenger at toilet in an AC compartment of an express train in the early hours of Thursday, media reports said.

According to police, the girl along with her sibling and parents boarded the train on Tuesday.

She was seated next to her parents.

When her parents fell asleep, the girl went to the toilet without informing them.

The 22-year-old accused confined her to the toilet for over 30 minutes, assaulted her and video recorded the act.

He threatened her with dire consequences if she revealed what had happened.

When the girl informed her parents on Thursday morning, her parents confronted the accused, took away his mobile phone and found their daughter's images and videos.

The girl's family, who are from Odisha, first registered a complaint with Railway Helpline and then lodged a complaint with the Government Railway Police or GRP when the train reached Secunderabad.

Though reports claim the accused was immediately arrested after the train reached Secunderabad, police are yet to confirm it.
