Six killed in road mishap in Mandya district

Mandya/UNI: At least six persons were killed and nine were injured when a multi-utility vehicle and a mini-goods van collided on Srirangapatna-Bidar highway near Nagamangala on late Thursday night.

According to police, the accident occurred when the Tata Sumo, heading towards Belluru Cross from Nagamandala collided head-on with the tempo.


Four passengers travelling on Tata Sumo died on the spot and the two person sustained injuries who later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Others including Tempo driver were critically injured and rushed to hospital immediately after the accident.


Belluru Police reached the spot and registered a case in this regard.
